Trish Jenkins

Falling from top and the height of success the does not have to mean it’s over.

Recently, I met a very usual woman with standing courage.  It takes a mighty strong person to have made a mistake, admit to that mistake, and then talk about it openly in an effort to help others, despite public criticism.

These are Trish Jenkins words:

Prison was not on the “goal chart” of successful entrepreneur Trish Jenkins. Trish and her husband Justin had achieved their dream, devoting their time to their family and philanthropy projects.

Then, after trusting the wrong people, things went horribly wrong. They lost everything, including the family home.

As liquidators sold off her family’s assets, Trish studied the psychology of fraud; working with a leading Corporate Investigator and writing her first book on fraud warning signals, “Dangerous Wealth.”

Then in 2009, liquidation finally culminated in an 8-month prison term!

Trish experienced the shame and degradation of prison, isolated from her husband and 3 little girls, living with murderers, drug-dealers, frauds and broken humanity.

Yet, instead of succumbing to self-pity, Trish was determined to turn the incarceration into an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those around her.

In doing so she found a different kind of freedom.

Trish wrote letters from prison tracking her journey. Her husband emailed the letters to their friends. Then the emails went “viral!”

In 2011 Trish collated and published both her letters and her private prison journal, resulting in her second book, “Treasures of Darkness – A Prison Journey.”

Today Trish is an inspiring author and passionate speaker. Using lessons from her story, she challenges, motivates, and equips people from youth to corporate organizations.

Trish says, “No matter the challenge, what could destroy can be made to serve,” if you look at it differently.

You can “change the past and free your future!”

She is living proof that success and failure hinge on our perspective.

Trish says, “Treasures are found in Dark Places”.
